Los Principiantes nace a finales de 2001 en Valladolid. Rubén (voz, guitarra), Jano (bajo), Óscar (batería) y Andrés
(guitarra).
En 2002 con ”En mi habitación" fueron sintonía durante un año para el programa de Jesús Ordovás, el Diario Pop.
En 2005 el grupo se separa.
En 2013 Rubén (voz y guitarra) decide retomar el proyecto con Tiki Casany, batería; Fernando Su, bajo y José Sendino, guitarra.
